H1N1 Vaccines Open to Everyone

Anyone who wants an H1N1 influenza vaccine can now get one. The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) announced on Dec. 22 that the vaccine is no longer restricted to the five high-priority groups.

Providers who have vaccine may now offer it to any of their patients. Providers must have registered with the DOH and been approved to receive and dispense vaccine.

According to the DOH's H1N1 in Pennsylvania website, the 60 state health centers will offer H1N1 vaccines every Saturday through Feb. 6 from 9 AM to noon. Some centers also will offer vaccines during the week.
